Prema, 65, is a perfect illustration of compassion despite a heart wrenching upbringing. After being abandoned by her parents at the age of three, she found comfort in the arms of her grandparents —a relief that faded only six years later with the sudden passing of her grandfather and shortly after, grieving the loss of her grandmother. With the help of our Wish Champions,    Prema will visit her grandparents’ final resting place for the first time after not being able to attend either funeral nearly six decades ago.

“They were the first ones that made me feel loved,” Prema recalls. With a pint of her grandfather’s favorite ice cream and flowers in hand, she knows this experience will make her feel whole again

Funds contributed directly to wish fulfillment are temporarily restricted to the defined activity in which the donor has selected. Once the necessary contributions are reached in order to fulfill the specified wish, Wish of a Lifetime holds the right to distribute funds to additional program efforts.
