Our History
Wish of a Lifetime® was founded in 2008 by Jeremy Bloom in honor of his grandmother, Donna Wheeler. Inspired by the deep respect for older adults he observed worldwide during his time on the U.S. ski team, Bloom established the organization to celebrate and uplift seniors.
Sparking hope and joy since 2008
In August 2020, Wish of a Lifetime became a charitable affiliate of AARP, expanding its reach and impact.
Since its inception, the organization has granted nearly 3,000 wishes to older adults, helping them regain confidence, energy, and joy. These experiences have fostered meaningful connections and created lasting generational change within families and communities.
