The transformational power of a wish
Over 90% of recipients report that having their wish granted improved their outlook on life and sense of purpose. They feel more engaged in community, more active in their daily lives, and many of them even go on to volunteer with Wish of a Lifetime®.
After his wish to visit his best friend’s hometown was granted, Lawrence began volunteering. Inspired by his journey with Wish of a Lifetime, he felt compelled to give back, spreading joy and hope within his church and assisted living community.
Now an active volunteer, Lawrence gives presentations, helps with applications, and organizes a local Cupid Crew. His dedication uplifts those around him, and we are grateful for his commitment to sharing hope and joy.
Ray Ann became a volunteer after visiting the Grand Canyon for her own wish experience. She supported wish recipient Beverly by cheering her on at her first open-mic performance.

Ken faced two fears when he hopped on a flight to visit the ocean. As he stood with the tide tickling his feet, Ken felt the warmth of the sunshine on his back, but also the glow of pride from within him. Reflecting on his wish, Ken said he hoped his story could help others to do the same at any age.
