Honor heroes. Champion healing.

Help give Vietnam-era veterans the welcome home they’ve been waiting decades for.

Voyage of Valor

Vietnam Veterans returned home to a divided nation. Many were met with silence, misunderstanding, or even hostility. Today, we are rewriting that story.

Voyage of Valor is a national movement to honor these heroes with the dignity, gratitude, and healing they deserve. It’s a powerful demonstration of social impact, community engagement, and a commitment to honoring those who served.

Legacy

Real stories. Lasting change.

Every veteran’s journey is distinct. Yet for many who served in Vietnam, that journey carries a powerful and painful common thread: the emotional weight of memories and the silent battles they brought home. This is not just about visiting memorials – it’s about rediscovering the strength of shared service and the healing power of being seen and celebrated.

John R

“I found my friend on the wall and I’m leaving behind all my sadness and anger. I never thought I would make it here. I feel like a new person.”

Valinda J

“I feel like now I could legitimately wear the Vietnam Era hat. It felt like something I didn’t deserve before because I wasn’t a combat veteran.”

Paul R

“I would say this was very therapeutic… Explaining to the youth about my experience… and being able to keep and maintain my composure all the time I was explaining what it was like, was the greatest experience of my life.”

Dianna N

“This was the first time other veterans showed me respect for my service.”

Joan, wife of veteran Tom Anderson

“He’s had some closure that he hasn’t had for 55 years. His experience at the Wall was that final piece of the puzzle.”

Raymond M

“I feel different. I feel a little bit better, but there’s still memories, that doesn’t go away. It was a healing process. It was a joy.”

Billy F

“I start reading these letters and other pamphlets [the children] had in there, and I start bawling.”

United in Tribute to Veterans

A large group of older people wearing purple shirts and a group of young men in combat fatigues in front of the Washington Monument

The 2026 Voyage of Valor honored a remarkable group of Wyoming Vietnam War-era veterans—individuals who served with distinction and bravery. Some followed in their families’ footsteps, others defied expectations to enlist, but all shared a deep commitment to their country.

They answered the call to serve. And thousands from across the country answered the call to honor them by signing the Wall of Valor.
