Deborah is a youthful 67-year-old with a zest for life and a passion for the ocean. She has not seen the ocean in twenty-five years, but her recent health struggles have reignited her desire to be by the sea.
In February of 2015, Deborah was diagnosed with cancer. Deborah and her daughter were shocked, but Deborah bravely endured the treatments. Today, she is much stronger, and continues to heal. Deborah’s health problems highlighted what she values most, and her introspection reminded her of happy childhood memories at the beach. Deborah fondly remembers spending the summers at the beach in Pennsylvania with her siblings. She recalls all the joy this experience brought in the midst of hard times.
As Deborah emerged from her difficult battle with cancer, she once again longed for the tranquility and calmness of the ocean. Wish of a Lifetime was happy to provide Deborah with some peace and relaxation by sending her to La Jolla beach in San Diego, California. Accompanied by her daughter and granddaughters, Deborah spent the weekend with soaking up the sunshine with her toes in the sand.
