Helen T., 89, of Sun City West, AZ is a mother, a friend, and above all, a very talented artist. She has an amazing art background and has been dabbling in different art mediums her entire life. Helen was an active member of the art club, teaching art in her house and at the local high school for continuing education. She still, to this day, helps other residents find their creative side and is an art mentor to her friends. Helen’s Wish of a Lifetime was to spend a day at a local art museum.
Helen’s passion for creativity began when she was growing up. She attended art school in Chicago before moving to Egg Harbor, which is a small art-driven town in Wisconsin. She enjoys different mediums–silk painting, sewing, water color–and has taught friends, children, and now older adults. While in Egg Harbor, she was also an active member of the art club and has donated her work whenever possible. It is safe to say that Helen’s greatest passion is art!
Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale made Helen’s wish come true by sending her and a companion to the Desert Caballeros Western Museum in Wickenburg, AZ on November 25, 2013. There she was able to visit the various exhibits, and then have a lovely lunch before returning back to Sun City West.
