Mimi and Shirley Attend the Honda Classic Tournament That Leaves a Lasting Impression

Brookdale residents Shirley and Miriam “Mimi” share the passion of playing golf. Both Shirley and Mimi used to play golf, but no longer get to enjoy golf due to physical limitations. Being able to experience a golf tournament has brought back fond memories from their past.

Both women are involved in their communities. Mimi is part of an organization called Hadassah that is involved in community service projects and fundraisers to help the needy, and she teaches art classes to other residents. Shirley enjoys volunteering at the hospital at the gift shop.

Shirley and Mimi’s Wish came true on February 25, 2016 when they attended the Honda Classic at the PGA National Resort and Spa-Champion Course in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The two ladies had a remarkable time at the tournament. When these two ladies are back at Brookdale Senior Living, they are quiet individuals and are not known for smiling often. After returning from the golf tournament, Shirley and Mimi were telling everyone about their wonderful experiences and grinning from ear to ear. The staff at the community were astonished at how much this Wish “transformed” the both of them!

Special thanks to Reuben Harper at ReubixTube for capturing the photos of Shirley and Mimi’s Wish.
