Donna W., 87, is a current resident at the Sterling House of Lancaster in Lancaster, Ohio. Donna remembers riding around town in her brother’s beautiful ModelT Ford Sunday afternoons during her childhood, often accompanying her brother to the grocery store or traveling to visit relatives who lived in other parts of the state. Donna remembers these moments very fondly, but she has not been able to ride in a Model T Ford for many decades. Donna’s Wish of a Lifetime was to be a passenger in a Model T Ford, the car that she has been in love with since her youth.
Donna has lived a full and meaningful life. As a mother, Donna balanced working part time with being a full time and very involved mother, ensuring that her children were able to experience as much success in their lives as possible. Currently, Donna is a Resident Ambassador. In this role, Donna welcomes new residents and orients them to their new surroundings. Donna has always radiated positivity, and her life experiences embody her evident and amazing personality.
Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living were proud to be able to fulfill Donna’s wish, matching her and her son, Jerry, with a local Model T Ford Club, Tickin’ T’s of Central Ohio. Donna was able to ride in a Model T Ford once again, taking a luxury ride. Donna had such an amazing day reminiscing about the “good ‘ole days.”
