Frank, of Homewood Castle Hills in San Antonio, TX, is a proud World War II Air Force veteran and has dreamt of attending his last WWII reunion in Austin, Texas. Frank keeps his uniform and medals on display in his room and still wears his hat. He tells friends about missions and flying and the strong connection between the soldiers from the Battle of Midway.
In addition to his service in the military, Frank has always looked for ways to help others. Though his generosity has been taken advantage of in the past, Frank is forgiving and charitable and continues to donate at Christmas to help every resident in his community receive gift bags.
To recognize Frank for his generosity and service, Wish of a Lifetime helped Frank travel to his final reunion in July of 2011 to reconnect with the remaining soldiers he served alongside over sixty years ago.
