Louise, 94, Attends Her First Dallas Cowboys Game

“I’ve been a Cowboys fan all my life,” said Louise of Brookdale Waxahachie in Waxahachie, TX, “I’m 94 and I’ve never been to a Cowboys game.” More than anything, Louise’s Wish of a Lifetime is attend a Dallas Cowboys game for the first time! Louise lived her life doing her two favorite things: taking care of her family and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. Louise raised two boys and took great care of them. She volunteered for their PTA committee, their Boy Scout troop as a den mother, and as a Youth Group leader. “I did anything they asked me to do. Anything that pertains to my boys, I’d do for them,” said Louise. Louise was also very involved at her church and women’s club.

Louise raised her family to also be Dallas Cowboys fans. “When the Cowboys were playing, the whole family was together. It was tradition,” said Louise’s granddaughter, Trisha. Louise loved to host football parties, especially during “Cowboys Day” and the Super Bowl. “One of her biggest passions is entertaining. She loved to have a party, decorate, and cook. She did the whole nine yards for everyone,” explained Trisha.

According to those that know her, Louise is the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan. Watching the Cowboys play on TV is her favorite past time. She gets so excited and looks forward to Sundays, or whenever the Cowboys were playing. To Louise, attending a Cowboys game is “not just the love of football, but all the memories that she has with it… watching the games and throwing parties with the family.”

At 94 years old, Louise will be attending her first Dallas Cowboys game, thanks to Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale. Louise, with her granddaughter, Tricia, will be cheering from the AT&T Stadium, home of the Cowboys, at the Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys game on December 26.
