Mark, 67, of Boca Raton, Florida, has loved the Miami Dolphins for many decades. He has watched every Dolphins game for the last twenty years and continues to watch them at his Brookdale residence. Mark’s connection to the Dolphins is quite special, and his weekly commitment has allowed him to persevere through many significant obstacles as he ages.
Mark worked in the furniture business for many years, and although throughout most of his life he has been surrounded by family and friends, the last few years have been very trying for Mark due to health concerns. Mark moved to Brookdale almost two years ago and made a positive impact on his community almost immediately, according to his nominator. He wished to go to a Miami Dolphins football game, something that he had always wanted to do but feared he may never be able to due to medical and financial obstacles.
Together, Wish of A Lifetime and Brookdale Senior Living were able to send Mark to Dolphins home game. He was able to watch his home town team face off against the New York Jets, the team that Mark grew up watching. Mark was treated to great seats and field passes, and he thoroughly enjoyed watching the team up close and personal. Mark remarked on how well he was treated by the entire staff, and is so excited to continue telling everybody about his Wish. He said that this was truly a day to remember.
