Maxine is a 93 year old woman who has lived in Colorado for most of her life. Maxine was a seamstress and raised 8 children along with her husband, who passed away more than 20 years ago. Maxine worked very hard to support her family for many years and has sacrificed so much for the people that she loves. Aside from her love of and commitment to family, Maxine loves the Colorado Rockies baseball team. Maxine has been watching the team for many decades but has not been to a baseball game herself for many years. Maxine wished to go to another Rockies baseball game, most likely her last game. Wish of a Lifetime was thrilled to be able to send Maxine to her first game in almost a decade. Maxine and her family attended the 5/28 matinee and enjoyed Rockies beat the St. Louis Cardinals 8-4. At 93, Maxine stayed for the entire 3.5 hour baseball game, and even stayed after to enjoy the victory festivities. Maxine told Wish of a Lifetime staff how very grateful she was, reflecting that this was, ‘my best day in quite some time’.
