Frank is Honored at a Local Car Show

Frank Crowley, 95, of West Hartford, CT, is a dedicated World War II veteran and a car enthusiast. His Wish of a Lifetime was to attend a local car show to celebrate his passion for cars.

During World War II, Frank served as a sergeant in the Air Force where he worked on a bomb site. He continued his service for another three years after the war. Then after his service, Frank settled in West Hartford, CT and started a family. Just before going into the military, Frank started a car collection.  Upon his return, he jumped right into his love for cars once again. Frank joined the West Hartford Car Club and served as their secretary for several years. His son now owns his collection of antique cars.

Thanks to Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale, on August 9th, 2015, Frank and his son Brian, attended a local car show to celebrate his passion of cars. Frank was the special guest of honor of the 4th Annual Rev Up for a Cure Classic & All-American Car Show in Plantsville, CT. He chose and presented the “Best in Show” award. As a surprise, Frank was presented with a special award in recognition for his service to our country. “Everything was so great… I almost cried,” said Frank.
