LeAnn is an optimistic 66 year old woman from Denver, CO. Her Wish of a Lifetime was to go on a hot air balloon ride.
LeAnn recently lost her loving husband after caring for him for two long years. She’s new to her older adult community, where she receives treatment for her Multiple Sclerosis. She loves to read and listen to music, but is unable to sing or sew anymore because of her condition.
LeAnn has always loved being up in the air. She’ll never forget the first time she saw someone in a hot air balloon when she was 12 years old. Since that day, she had dreamed of riding in one herself, but she was never able to. On July 18th, 2013, Wish of a Lifetime with the help of Fair Winds Hot Air Balloon Company made her wish come true. LeAnn was fearless as she was lifted from her wheelchair into the balloon basket. She enjoyed an 80 minute flight that overlooked Boulder, CO and the Rocky Mountain Front Range with her friend Catrene and her son Todd. LeAnn said it was one of the most exciting experiences of her life and that she felt accomplished for completing her lifetime Wish.
