Retired Colorado Air National Guardsman Takes Flight With Daughter For The First Time

92-Year-Old Bill has been passionate about planes his entire life. Bill spent his career with the Federal Aviation Administration and was a member of the Colorado Air National Guard. While working for the FAA, Bill was a technician and owned his own plane, a red Tripacer 992-Alpha. He flew to and from Oklahoma City and Alaska on assignment. Even though Bill loved owning and operating his own plane, he loved his, now late, wife Gloria, much more and ended up selling it to buy her the piano of her dreams. Bill had the opportunity to fly with his son Tim several decades ago, but never had the chance to take his daughter, Theresa. Bill currently is living with a memory impairment but the moment you start talking about an airplane, a smile lights up his whole face and the memories of him taking to the sky instantly come back to him.

Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale Senior living are honored to give Bill and Theresa the flight they always wanted together on June 27th. Bill and Theresa were accompanied by their entire family and all of the Wish of a Lifetime staff to watch them take flight on a Cessna 182. Thank you to Aspen Flying Club for giving Bill a morning he will never forget and thank you to David Alderman for capturing the unforgettable moments!
