Susan Attends the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes

Susan, 73, of the Pointe at Newport Place in Boynton Beach, Florida has been an avid fan of the Rockettes dancers since she was a child. Studying interpretive and modern dance, Susan dreamed of one day becoming a professional dancer and going on-stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Because she was heavily involved in her career helping children, Susan never fulfilled this dream of going further with dancing, and never even got to see them perform live. Her wish of a lifetime is to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring the Rockettes while they are on tour in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Susan’s active lifestyle and love of dance began while growing up in New Jersey. She practiced various forms of dance and loved being able to learn new styles like the jitterbug. Susan dreamed of one day being able to pursue a career as a professional dancer and be up on stage with the famous Rockettes. Eventually though, her interests took her in a different direction than the performing arts and she started a career at the Trenton State Hospital. For three years, she worked with mentally disturbed children, and then went on to pursue other jobs like working with disabled children in a nursery school, and, later in life, caring for her parents in their old age.

Because of Susan’s personal sacrifice, amazing perseverance, and great attitude, Wish of a Lifetime and Brookdale made her Wish of seeing the Rockettes live come true. Susan attended a matinee show at the Kravis Center for Performing Arts on December 5, 2013 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her dream of seeing her favorite dancers perform finally became a reality, and she was able to sit back, relax, and enjoy a classic holiday show!
