David U., age 78, is a proud Navy veteran, father, and Denver sports fan. His Wish of a Lifetime is to meet his favorite Broncos players.
David is a Colorado native and University of Denver alum. He worked as an accountant at his own firm D.G. Ulwelling & Co. in Commerce City. David’s love for Denver sports includes “anything and everything.” He is the definition of a life-long Broncos fan. He has been a season ticket holder since 1965, making him one of the original season ticket holders.
David has been unable to attend a game in the past few years, but still keeps up with every game of the season. The Broncos have been a family bonding experience for David and his daughter Jennifer. She is the only surviving child of his 5 children. He started taking her to games when she was just 6 years old. David taught Jennifer everything she knows about football. The season tickets were passed on to Jennifer and she continues the family tradition as Broncos fan. David has experienced tremendous loss throughout his life. He’s outlived his wife and 4 of his children. He is a three-time cancer survivor. Meeting one of his favorite players would boost his spirits as his terminal illness progresses. Wish of a Lifetime would be honored to make this Wish come true.
This July, David had the opportunity to eat lunch and talk football with some of his favorite players– Shannon Sharpe, Ed McCaffrey, and Reggie Rivers. It was an absolute thrill for David and was a meal he will never forget!
